The original CRANE 3 LAB was the first gimbal with built-in image transmission, designed with filmmakers in mind. The new CRANE 3S takes innovation a step further with a brand new modular design for wider application and intuitive control.

The CRANE 3S is equipped with extendable Roll Axis for greater flexibility. It allows for larger cinema camera combos by attaching an extension module onto the roll axis, while smaller DSLR combos can detach the module for increased portability. The properly calculated 55° tilted roll axis offers a broader vision, ideal for unobstructed views and mounting large cinema camera combos.

With new SUPER motors, CRANE 3S can support a payload of 14.3lbs, making it compatible with a wide range of camera setups, including Canon EOS 1D, Sony FS & FX series, Red Digital Cinema Cameras, and more. The gimbal ensures zero swinging with a reliable locking system and double locks for added safety during travel or storage.

Improved zoom and focus systems cater to cinematography needs, with larger lens supports and a focus wheel equipped with a whiteboard for marking focus range. Zooming can be achieved synchronously through the SmartSling Handle (Servo zoom/focus controller sold separately).

The CRANE 3S also offers continuous uptime supported by the PowerPlus Battery and a DC-IN port for direct charging. The TransMount PowerPlus Battery Pack can house 6 batteries, providing added strength to adapt to constant motions and serving as a fast-charging power bank.

Zhiyun gimbals and the TransMount Image Transmission System offer three control options for filmmakers working in film crews or solo: control from the gimbal, smartphone, or motion sensor controller. ViaTouch 2.0 allows intuitive adjustment of camera and gimbal parameters via a dedicated phone app.
